The Comic Who Died A Death

Billy Baldock is one of the last comedians of the old school, a graduate of the music halls and the Windmill. He is playing summer season when he reads a report in the local newspaper that he has been murdered. Detective Chief Inspector Lawrence has two days in which to investigate the crime and prevent it.
