Best narrator!

While not a “classic” Stephen King story, great plot, stellar characters and perfect narration that reels you in from start to finish!

Great short story by a master storyteller

Just the right length. There’s five seasons of a show “based” on this story called “Haven”. It’s ok.

Accent may inhibit your read on this one?

I always enjoyed a King setting in His small places real & imagined. This reminds me of my Family. The 1s we adopt @ will through Our lifetime. 1 young person who really is just good enough to be great for Her being so green as a reporter, just needed a mentor to whom She can learn the untapped skills of her career. Fabulous. Just seriously beautiful & charming characters but so very sad it ended so ... soon? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️😁 Enjoy. Happy Eclipse Day

Stephen King?

Unlike some of his work but still a good listen. The narrator was great, I loved his accents.

Come on - its the journey!

This book is made up of what Stephen King is famous for - developing characters that you get attached to. The hardest part about reading The Stand or The Dark Tower is when it ends and you have to say goodbye to all the characters you've become so accustomed to. If you're looking for a good mystery that has a clean beginning and end, go read Sherlock Holmes. If you want a short glimpse into the lives of two old men in a slow moving town and share their views of the world - you'll really enjoy this.
