In the first installment of The Riftborn Chronicles, The Chronos Engine, Lyra, a historian-turned-guardian, uncovers the truth behind the Rift—a cataclysmic event tearing apart the world. Together with her ally Ezran, they journey to the heart of the Rift, battling creatures from other dimensions.
In a dramatic finale, Valen sacrifices himself to stabilize the Chronos Engine and close the Rift. Yet, the threat may not be over, and Lyra is left to face her own mysterious connection to the Rift and the greater dangers that await.
