So many thoughts and questions I had as I read (listened to) the other Pern books have been answered in these stories. I wish I had read (listened) to this just after the first Pern book.

The Dragons...their dry wit and devotion to their riders make them special!

mis-pronunciation of words!

The narrator mispronounced some English words and some names/words unique to Anne Mccaffrey's world. It was annoying. Other than that, she did an acceptable job.

Cute stories

I enjoyed the these short stories although Rescue Run was sad. These stories provide additional information about your favorite PERN original settlers

Needs new narator

One of my favorite series but the narrator is very monotone like. When I started it, I thought it was an AI bot reading it. Please fix.

Decent story, awkward reader.

The awkward inflections and complete lack of difference between character voices made this a tougher listen than it should have been. It felt completely unnatural, and kept pulling me out of the story.

Loved it!! Highly recommend this older series for all the new scifi readers. McCaffrey is truly an artist painting worlds with words in your mind!!!

Good stories, bad narration

These were interesting stories, providing background and history on the story of Pern as we know it in earlier books, but this narrator is awful- very flat, monotone, mispronounced names and places, whole chunks (10-20 seconds) of story missing at random (unsure if that's the narrator, audible, or something elss) and inconsistent sound quality as you get later into the book. I struggled especially in the last section, happy to have heard the stories, but I felt I was sitting through a lecture for most of it
