After years of imagining who she belongs to, Monique Johnson embarks on a journey to find the family she never knew. However, thanks to a temperamental car, her journey almost ends before it even starts. Luckily for her, she happens upon the nicest stranger she has ever met and is soon embarking on a new adventure, with the help of an entire family of strangers.

Single father, Jordan Denver is focusing on his twin daughters and his work. After a tragic event rocked their family to the core, resulting in Jordan’s wife leaving him and their precious daughters, Jordan has put all his energy into being the best father he can, not once thinking about putting himself back out into the world of dating. When he is thrust into the role of volunteer to assist Monique with her quest for answers, Jordan is initially reluctant, annoyed with being pushed by his family members to help a stranger. To him, it feels like they are pushing him and Monique together for more than just a fact-finding mission. However, the more time Jordan spends with the woman his sister picked up along the way to their family’s Christmas Cabin, the more he enjoys his time with her, and he starts to wonder if there is room in his heart and his life for more than just his beloved daughters.

As Jordan and Monique work together to find the answers to her past, answers which, at first seem impossible to uncover, but which, may be closer than either of them could ever imagine, they develop a friendship that they both begin to cherish. Join them as they take you along for the ride, to find not only Monique's family but also, perhaps a happily ever after that neither of them is expecting.
