The fate of the world hangs in the balance as two very different factions vie for the same goal: The Resurrection Sword. Following the events that pitted Aiden Gallagher and the Chosen One against the father of one of the most destructive races of vampire and the discovery of a devastating truth about Ariel, they find themselves searching for, yet another artifact imbued with the power of Christ through blood he shed on The Spear of Fate, the very spear used by the Centurian charged with guarding Jesus while he hung on the cross during the crucifixion in an act of defiance and mercy for the Son of God. Along the way, they are joined by a figure much older than any of them with a story as old as time. The Wanderer, a person marked by God to wander the earth until such time as the Creator deems his punishment is at an end, has finally chosen a side in the battle between Heaven and Hell, and seeks the spear to keep it out of the hands of Samael and Lilith, and possibly end the vampire race in its entirety in the process.
