Great story, great characters, great narrator

After listening to the first of the series, I listen to this one out of sequence. I will go back and find the others, but each one can stand alone and this one was just terrific! I hated for it to end.

I love this series. The characters are engaing and are constantly growing. The plot is fresh and well developed. I look forward to the next book.

Love this series!

There are only a few books that I buy as soon as they become available - and the Magical Cat books are towards the top of that list. This latest one continues the wonderful tradition.

Music, Magic and Murder

I LOVE this series, as well as the gentle voice of the narrator. Owen and Hercules keep their librarian owner, Kathleen busy, even getting into a car (walking right through the door 😂), causing her to have to make up some funny tales to retrieve them. When the three of them come upon a dead body beside the river, Kathleen is sure she knows who the woman is . . . but it turns out she is wrong. The search for the killer keep her and her magic cats busy. Nothing is quite as it seems. The photo shoots with Owen and Hercules are so much fun, and they usually lead to an unlikely discovery. Great story and excellent conclusion.

A fun twist of magic

I love books with animals included in the list of main characters. Even better with a twist of magic!

Can be read as a standalone but not well

This is the only book of this series I've read (to date) so I can say that without prejudice.
Writing, plotting and characterisation is solid if not spectacular but the constant references to events from previous books gets frustrating so I'd say you'd have to read (hear) this series in order to really enjoy it

I love this series. Owen & Hercules are the best! Good narrator too. Mayville Heights is wonderful.

Sofie Kelly has another winner with the latest installment in the Magical Cats series. It has all the heartwarming moments and characters we’ve all grown to love. Cassandra Campbell, as always, brings it all to life with her stellar performance. If you enjoy cozy mysteries starring cats, then you won’t want to miss this one.
