Fast’s novel stars Masao Masuto, a second-generation Japanese-American detective, who also happens to be Buddhist. Another chance... maybe?
By the end, I just wanted the story to be over. I'm chalking it up to a gaggle of unlikeable characters, so will consider another book in the series, but not soon. Audio narration excellent.

Poor oration hurt the story
The inflection was halting and awkward. There were quite a few mispronunciations such as corPUS for the word corpse. The reader’s lack of fluency and poor skills made it undesirable to listen to the next story even though it was free.

Excellent Book
