As a firefighter this hit home on so many levels. I finished it in just two days and loved every second of it.

Best book I ever read or listened too, amazing stories and I could not stop listening until the end.

Epic Adventure!

Amazing story with all the feels. You’ll love it, then you’ll hate it, you’ll laugh and then cry (guys too), you’ll feel hungry then nauseous, you’ll feel a sense of pride and then deeply offended. What a journey! Everything I wanted in a tale of adventure and heroism. This is what our first responders are really going through every day, around the world. A must-read for anyone who wants to better understand The Bravest profession.

Full of false info, not the hero he claims

Full of embellished lies, much is added to the real stories, others are completely made up!
This book is full of embellished crap and makes it clear this author is a raCiSt and seXiSt liar. I also worked 20 plus years at this department and much of this never happened. The crap about the female firefighters at the party is completely fabricated... one was there with her ONE AND ONLY firemen husband!! Maybe he came up with this during is time in psych? Mr Lilly before you throw stones you should have actually been to these events, gathered truthful information and maybe remember to add your nickname Brad “little pac” Lilly !! Oh and don’t forget the time you offered sex to your coworkers in the station…. and was politely turned down ! You can’t even get the nicknames right. This should be banned and you should be charged for deformation and multi felonies and lose your free pension given to you for being psych from your own distinctions. Let them buddy. Glad it was free and no money was wasted.
