Nikki Gemmell utilizes a diaristic second-person narrative to put listeners into the mind of a scientist who has been abducted by her government to finish creating a deadly biological weapon. Her three children wake to find that they have been locked away in a basement to keep them out of harm's way, but the claustrophobia and uncertainty of their situation leave them vulnerable and frightened.
