"The Blue Coat Saga (Books 1, 2, 3) by Belle Ami is a time-travel thriller audiobook. It would appeal most to a mixed audience of mature young adults and adults who enjoy historical-based fiction centered on World War II and are okay with hearing about graphic concentration camp descriptions and some violence. One blue coat serves to connect present-day librarian Rose Levi with Leah Manheim in 1942. Does Rose have what it takes to fulfill the mission passed down to her by her grandmother?

"The Blue Coat Saga is a well-written and well-narrated audiobook that I found to be rather enthralling. I have always enjoyed books that feature time travel and different character perspectives and this book wove both concepts together in a web that kept me interested from the first chapter until the last. I loved the way the author strove to incorporate the history of the Holocaust in this audiobook in a way that makes the reader feel the emotional impact of it and remember the "never again" promise. Overall, it is a great series and I have to say that I really loved both Rose and Leah as I could not help but become emotionally involved in their stories.

"The narrator of this audiobook is Heidi Bindhammer. Ms. Bindhammer is an experienced voice actress with numerous acting credits to her name. Some of her more notable voice acting credits include Holy Water and Whiskey Scars, The Haunted House from Hell, and Whispers of a Second Chance. Her experience as a voice actress could be easily heard in her ability to make each character sound both alive and different. I really liked how she brought the characters to life audibly for me." Awesome story and great narration!

I listened to this series on a long drive from Wisconsin to Georgia. I usually listen to books as mindless background as I drive so I can focus on driving. This story and narration caused so many problems as I had to keep rewinding as I missed something because of traffic! The characters were so well developed by both the author and the narrator that I needed to listen carefully! The story was beautiful and the characters came alive. The author as a beautiful ability to subtlety mix in the fantasy of time travel without losing the true sense of the characters involved. She has a true gift.

What really got me in the book was the narration. I know Heidi personally. I was very hesitant to listen to this book as I thought it would be just listening to an evening with a friend telling me a story. IT WAS SO MUCH MORE! Heidi made the characters come alive. I really didn’t even think it was her most of the time and I KNOW her voice. I am now looking forward to listening to all of her narrations!
