Acerca de esta escucha

James Deary, a NYC healthcare organization cofounder and behavioral scientist, never wanted to be a psychic medium. This ability more or less “happened” to him. His first near-death experience occurred when he was two years old. At age eight, he saw his first apparition. Soon thereafter, psychic experiences became commonplace. Looking back, he was always a clairvoyant who could see Spirit, but the sensing, knowing, and hearing Spirit developed over many years.

For decades, he kept these gifts a secret. Not wanting to be laughed at, he lived two lives in two separate worlds, and worked restlessly to keep those two worlds apart. But, truth is eventually revealed—Spirit kept knocking harder and harder at his door. His ability to see became coupled with knowing, feeling and hearing until he could no longer deny it. The other side continued pushing through, despite his not knowing why. He wasn’t given a choice. Mediumship was not a pastime activity or a hobby—it was what his soul had become.

Exceptional

I felt that this memoir was unique in that Jim wrote about his experience with authenticity and and humility. He also wrote in a lovely sense of almost practicality that made his experience easy to comprehend. One could know nothing about mediumship and come away with some understanding of what it is according to Jim’s experience. It was also a good memoir about a man learning to believe in this sacred gift. I recommend this book to anyone who who wants to know more about how a medium is born. Excellent read.
