The Biophilia Effect celebrates our interconnection with nature and shows how to deeply engage the natural world wherever you live to dramatically improve your health. This unabridged audio presentation shares fascinating biomedical research into nature’s healing effects on our bodies, practical tools and activities, and inspiring stories about the remarkable benefits of being in nature. This translation of the German bestseller explores:

• Biophilia—psychotherapist and philosopher Erich Fromm’s term for people’s love for nature
• How nature alleviates pain and accelerates recuperation
• Yards and gardens as a source of inspiration, happiness, and health
• How landscapes interact with the human psyche
• Nature’s influence on the mind, heart, and other vital organs of the body

“The biophilia effect happens when we connect with our roots,” writes Arvay. “The biophilia effect stands for wilderness and the conception of nature, for natural beauty and aesthetics, and for breaking free and healing. That is what this book is about.” The Biophilia Effect is your guide to accessing the sacred bond we share with nature, wherever you call home. Narrated by Kyle Hebert.

I give Clemens G. Arvay's contribution to informing his audience of where to enhance our wellness only four (4) stars. Yet the content of both of his books is truly worth knowing. I deducted a star because his book(s) recommend visualization or quided imagery and meditation exercises. In my worldview those practices are not worth knowing.

Thought it important to notify browsers of that particular content, for the sake of listeners and readers who may prefer not learning about the biophilia effects in books tainted with questionable recommendations. Had I seen the covers on his books written for other languaged listens and readers I would have steered away from purchasing.

I do really appreciate Mr. Arvay's research into biophilia and his thoughtfulness to share. I do hope he would also be willing to write for an audience that is not into mindfulness.

Thank you for these timely reminder of the medical and psychological gifts of Nature! Fascinating book!

El libro es interesante, aunque es muy redundante, y ciertamente político, lo que no me agrada en una lectura holística. Si bien habla con hechos científicos fundamenta muchas ideas a manera personal y pierde el enfoque.

Muy político

This recording has the most conspicuous narration repairs I have heard in an audiobook. I am surprised this got published. The reader who's voice is patched over in random areas is either a different person or the same person with a bad cold and a low mood. I wanted to enjoy this book but I just couldn't. Go for Dr. Qing Li's original Forrest Bathing book instead.

Patchy narration repairs.
