These losers start by stringing their victims step by step.
The world would be a better place without them . . . Except we wouldn’t know how vulnerable we are without them.

Well Written, Fascinating, & Informative

Mary's story is both heart breaking and uplifting. How she has managed to bring such positivity to her life after all she has been through is simply amazing. I applaud her for her strength to overcome and her selflessness in sharing her story to help others.

The author having been conned was devastating. Her book is a triumph over evil. People like Will truly are dangerous.

I enjoyed this book , lots of information I was always interested in this subject.

Brilliantly Written

This book is a cautionary take about the dangers of online dating as well as not knowing enough about someone you are dating. Background checks may be very helpful in this day and age. The bigamist was the most toxic person I have ever heard of. It is an almost unbelievable story. It is a riveting book.

A sad, interesting and educational story

I appreciate that the author went into such detail because she clearly laid out how the con can happen over time. Her narration was well done and I can’t understand the 2 star ranking of that portion of some reviews. One thing I noticed in her story was how he canceled the first date with Mary and one of his other victims. I don’t know if he did it on purpose, but it could show the con artist who is “understanding” and possibly would be an easier mark.

Eye opening, validating and beautifully written!

This story was incredibly shocking, juicy and honest! I am so glad I listened to the audio version because it makes the excellent writing really come alive.

Wow!

This astounding true story is intricate. intriguing, and nearly unbelievable.... unless you yourself have known a psychopath and/or a malignant narcissist. But it is tie and bully on Mary Turner Thomson for telling her story. First copywrited in 2008, this story continues to unfold as Will Jorden was also convinced in the U.S. in 2013....

The 2nd part of the book, interestingly also sheds light on the duping of an entire nation by a psychopath in the guise of an American President... What happened to Mary also had happened to about 25% of the US population!

in addition, Ms Thompson's elegance in dealing with raising her children not to be victims is a lesson we all can learn from. I'll be taking her tips from Chapter 16 about how to "abuse proof" young children to my daily work in a law office where we deal with predators and sex abuse victims fairly regularly.
