We convince ourselves that the best way to handle an experience is to “just get through it”. For many of us, “getting through it” has become a way of life. Honestly, who can blame you? God doesn’t. Let me repeat that- God doesn’t blame you for deciding to just get through it. So much of life presents itself as a struggle and we are wired to go into survival mode.
But, Beloved, survival is meant to be a momentary victory. Once you survive, you are meant to thrive! God wants you to thrive in your life. Anything that tries to convince you to stay in survival mode is a distraction from the experience God wants you to have.
