Another great one!

Such a lovely story filled with great friends, not so great family and all the feelings that come with them. Duke has so much to deal with as his insecure parents and needy grandmother use up all his patience and embarrass him at every turn. Eve has her own problems with money and secrets. I loved how their lives came together and they found help with their dreams and future. I'm looking forward to seeing how their lives progress in the series.

For this book I would read snapdragon since the main characters of that story are mentioned in this one. as always love prevails!

Strong Friendships Prevail

I love this series, and this one stood out to me in particular because of Eve. Her personality, wit, determination, and sacrifice shined through. She is a heroine you want to root for. As with all Sarah Eden books, everything ties up rather too nicely at the end, but I don't mind that. And honestly, I need a Mater in my life.

Duke and Eve

I love listening to these audio books from the multiple interconnected series of books that include, The Gents, The Huntresses, The Jonquil Brothers, and The Lancaster Family. And although you can jump into this story without having read any others, there are so many characters that have been introduced over the years, that I found that it becomes much more entertaining to enjoy all of the books as they build upon each other.

Duke Seymour's parents and grandmother were absolutely horrendous, which made his connections and friendships with the women who were the Huntresses and the men who were the Pack that much more important to him. I always love the found family vibes that are in these stories. I also loved the addition and inclusion of some of the members of the Gents' generation in the party.

I could deeply feel the hurt that Eve was subjected to at times in this novel. It was hard to see her heart break as she dealt with so much, yet it ended up making the happiness for these two characters even sweeter when things finally worked out.

Meant for each other

I always thoroughly enjoyed Miss Eden’s work however I felt like the ending was a little anticlimactic for me. The MMC’s family together was like hearing nails on a chalkboard so, the less time enduring that the better. I am holding out to see more of the lovebirds’ story fleshed out in future installments. As usual the narration was well done by Miss Ingram. I eagerly await what’s next for the gang!!
