Resumen del Editor

A Vintage Original

The first installment of an exciting new annual anthology - a year's worth of the most interesting, noteworthy, and best-written articles on all aspects of the business world.

Series editor Andrew Leckey and guest editor Marshall Loeb have scoured the print media, consulted with the editors of major business and general interest publications, and surveyed journalism school deans in order to find the thirty best business stories from the past 12 months. Among those selected: Ken Auletta on Herb Allen's CEO retreat, from The New Yorker; Diane Brady on Martha Stewart, from Business Week; Steve Silberman on creating a borderless global cyber-marketplace, from Wired; and many others from the pages of Harper's, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Nation, and Rolling Stone.

Comprehensive in the range and consistent in the quality of the writing, this volume marks the beginning of a fascinating new anthology series.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"[The editors] cast their net wide, picking up some excellent stories from nontraditional sources that even avid readers of the business press may have missed." (USA Today, on the 2001 edition)

Good Stuff

This book covered a lot of different topics, all of which were very interesting to me. As complex as some of the articles were, I never felt lost. Great inside look at the lives and personality profiles of Michael Miliken and Mary Meaker and a great analysis of Japanese economy. While it is reporting last years best stories, they are still relevant. Plus with 16 hours of content it will take you longer than a 2 days to finish it.

Who Picked These Stories?

This was like being read beadtime stories from a Newsweek magazine. In my opinion these are hardly the best business stories of the year and of little value as an audible option.
