Then, as they are getting close to discovering the twin''s identity, the unimaginable happens and Taryn's life is endangered.

Must Ani choose between saving her best friend or saving the life of an alien? Once again time is running out. Will the Anyala Stone die before the twin can be found and brought to Lrakira? Will the twin, if found, accept their new identity and travel the stars to save the life of an alien creature? What more does the prophecy within the first song have in store for the people of Lrakira and Teramar?

The adventure continues ...

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series, and the second is even better. The author and I must have loved the same type of stories in our earlier days -- this book has the feel of all of them, but is it's own strong stand-alone tale, with twists and turns that sometimes come as a surprise, and other times are foreshadowed enough to create a sense of anticipation, making the reader rather like an attendee at a surprise party, just waiting to see the characters' reactions to the discovery you know is coming.

Just the right balance of romantic yearning and swashbuckling adventure to produce a story that thrills, delights, and leaves you wanting more.
