There are no nursing mothers on the small train and no source of food for the infant. The young man and one experienced woman and one very young woman come to a unique solution to help the baby thrive and this has a Grapes of Wrath feel about it. Still, there are many obstacles both internal and external before they reach their destination.

Sweet Story
The most interesting aspect was the young girl who had never given birth to a baby being able to suckle one. I have heard of others doing that and believe it possible.
Other interesting aspects - keep your Christian faith, do not be a complainer, try to keep a positive attitude.

What a fascinating tale!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to a friend who was going through trials. This story is proof that God works in ways that we can never fathom. Troubles we have that are so awful turn into marvelous plans in God's hands.
What about Joe Smith’s performance did you like?
I really liked how Mr. Smith read the various characters - particularly the nice Betsy and the horribly nasty Big Jaw and Chigger characters.
Any additional comments?
This story had so many twists and turns along with interesting facts. I definitely want to listen to this tale again, especially when going through trials. It's very uplifting!
