Long ago, the Norse Fates - the 3 sisters responsible for shaping the life-spans and destinies of gods and humans - wove their golden threads at the base of Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life. In a moment of compassion, they used their great powers to create a new being – one that can walk between the 9 worlds, teaching ancient magic, and bringing hope to the humans by spreading the word that while fate is predetermined, an individual’s actions still hold significance. This new being, a Viking sorceress, is the earth’s first witch.

Jump to present day Vermont and an elderly woman, Zosia, unexpectedly discovers she carries a secret in her blood that an evil, Viking god longs to possess. Will Zosia be ready to take possession of her destiny before he and his witch-army come for her?
