Acerca de esta escucha

Random House Audiobooks presents The Audiobook of the Year, written and read by the team behind hit podcast No Such Thing as a Fish: James Harkin, Andrew Hunter Murray, Anna Ptaszynski and Dan Schreiber.

In a year when much of the news was believable but fake comes an audiobook packed with stories that are unbelievable but true.

The Audiobook of the Year is a feature-length edition of the award-winning hit comedy podcast No Such Thing as a Fish. Each week over a million people tune in to find out what bizarre and astonishing facts Dan, James, Anna and Andy have found out over the previous seven days. Now the gang have turned their attention to the news of the past 12 months.

You'll discover the curious details behind the main headlines - how Donald Trump slept on the 66th floor of a 58-storey building, what effect Brexit had on Coco Pops, and why China's president can't stand Winnie the Pooh - as well as hundreds of stories you may have missed entirely, like the news that:

Qatar built a refugee camp for camels
2,000 bees were stolen in Beeston
The victim of Britain's first ever shark attack ended up with a cut thumb.

From bizarre arrests to baffling elections, via a surprising amount of sausage news, The Audiobook of the Year is an eye-opening tour of the incredible year you didn't know you'd lived through.

Very entertaining, I have listened to this a couple of times and will probably listen a couple more. It never gets old.

A book to listen to many times

I am biased as I already am familiar with the No Such Thing as a Fish Podcast, and so it makes sense that a collection of the most interesting facts collected from the year would be material that I would appreciate. As such, I do not regret this purchase at all.

There is such a thing as a nine-hour podcast

I am a constant listener of the show "no such thing as a fish" and when I know there's an audiobook, I had to buy it.
It did not disappoint!
Each of the fact in this book is shorter than those in the show, but rest assure, it's just as fun and the facts are just as random.

Listeners of the show would love this

I've been a fan of the No Such Thing As a Fish podcast and the show QI (Quite Interesting) for years. All of the presenters' clever banter mixed with truly interesting facts never fail to make me laugh. I cannot recommend this enough for those who are after intellectual humor mixed with current events.

Never disappoints!

Big fan of the podcast and the Book of the Year 2017 succeeds in carrying on the presenters wonderful banter, and brings to life all of the oddest news stories and facts of the 2017

Wonderfully intelligent and entertaining

The full review is optional, why does it need to have at least fifteen words?

The best book you'll ever listen to, buy it twice

Hands down the most enjoyable 8+ hours I’ve spent in my car. A must listen, I can’t imagine the read has the same ad lib jokes.

Brilliant!

The give and take between the podcasters adds so much charm to the nerdy but interesting facts. Their amusement with their play with the facts is contagious. Check out the podcast.

The QI elves have compiled a wonderfully entertaining list of weird facts from 2017. listening to them is like a twelve hour long podcast! Such fun

No such thing as a boring Book of the Year 2017
