She Did What? Again?!

This just didn’t hit the mark for me as much as I’d hoped, but it wasn’t without its highlights. The story was interesting and had some genuinely good moments that kept me curious. That said, the pacing felt a bit flat overall, and instead of one female making questionable decisions—we got two! Double the drama, double the frustration. The narration was fine but the spark never fully ignited for me.

Not as dark as I expected.

Chrissy has the hots for her neighbor next door and when she won’t do anything to end her dry spell her trusted bestie takes matters into her own hands literally. While Teagan and Chrissy are the main event there is a second romance in the back ground between her best friends and Teagan’s partner. Both sets of characters share a story line but also have their own moments especially toward the end. The story line is enough to keep you hanging on to see what happens next. There are darker themes kidnapping, selling of woman and violence it’s not super descriptive or anything crazy dark on page like a lot of mafia dark romances I have read. I would say this would be a good place to start if you are wanting to see if you enjoy the darker side of things. The main characters have a hea but there are some strings left dangling and the story could be continued in a few different ways. I would be interested to see where it goes. I enjoyed the story and some of the levity thrown in and I enjoyed the narration.
