Great!

Terrific! Pastor Skip teaches on what the Apostle Paul writes in the second half of chapter 6 in his letter to the Ephesians. That entire chapter is great but the first half OF CHAPTER 6 Paul talks about Obedience and the second half; which is what this series is about Skip teaches on what Paul says to the Christians on how to keep the faith, what to do to stay strong, staying the course and what do to not be deceived.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Armor of God to be better than the print version?

What did you like best about this story?

Each element of the armor is divided into its own message. Skip does a great job describing what Paul was likening the armor that he saw on the Roman guards to the Spiritual Armor that we must put on. Some we carry by our side, some we use to protect us from certain attacks, some we just use for defensive purposes. We must be ready and also must remember we are in a war that is fought on our knees in prayer and supplication as well as having the means to stand firm.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

My particular message was the one of the broad shield of Faith. In my own life, God has delivered me from a pornography addiction that began when I was 13 and ended when I was 36. For 23 years I disqualified myself when I would speak to others about my Christian Faith, of which I accepted Christ at 18. On Jan 31, 2013, God delivered me from the desires, wants, and compulsions to view pornography. Whenever I am tempted or the thought enters my mind: If I call it what it is-- a Firey Dart-- It is extinguished; the thought is captivated and made subject to Christ. The description of how the shield looked and was made ready for battle just emphasizes how Faith extinguishes the thoughts that would seek to cripple and maim.

Any additional comments?

This is a great sermon series. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for the reminders that the Spirit who dwells within you is greater than he who is in the world. Skip's delivery is clear; you will want to listen to these messages again and again.

So Edifying

I truly enjoyed this study. The narrator spoken with such power. He made me want more of his studies. I truly felt blessed learning and just hearing how he explained and taught The Amour of God. I will surely listen to more books by this Author. Thank you, I was truly fed, and will continue to study this and share it with others. Esmi Castro

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes while this is not an actual audiobook but a collection of sermons from Skip's church in Albuquerque. most of my friends could use the knowledge of what the full armor of God is.

What did you like best about this story?

the breakdown of the Helmet of Salvation and the different stages of salvation that are not too often explored in many modern day churches.

Which scene was your favorite?

No scenes since this is a sermon series but my favorite topic was when describing the struggle between Michael the archangel and the devil and how even though the power of light is stronger than the dark he never slandered the devil but he rebuked him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some topics made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck when describing why we need the full armor of God as describing the powers that come against us.
