A Psychological Thriller

Trapped in an elevator in a borrowed apartment, a young woman battles to keep her sanity while attempting to come to terms with all she has lost. When Laura's friend Marianne suggests she joins her for a few days in a multi-million-dollar apartment on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, it doesn't take Laura long to think about the offer and come up with a yes. However, soon after Marianne leaves at the end of what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, Laura finds herself alone and trapped between floors in the apartment's private elevator. This should be Laura's worst nightmare but things go from bad to terrifying when two intruders let themselves into what they think is an empty apartment and Laura is forced to face yet more unpleasant truths. As time ticks by, Laura grabs for the last strands of strength she has left -but is it enough? There is no way out. Very intense, suspenseful and action-packed. The Apartment

The story was good however, I would have enjoyed it much more if it was told by a human & not a generated voice. The lack of vocal emotion during the major stressful event in the book was a negative for me.

I just didn't get it. What the heck happened at the end? Happy it was free.

Took a bit to get into at the beginning, but otherwise well written, and unexpected twists.

Ugh!

I’m not sure why the reviews were so good for this book. I don’t like the automated computer voice, during parts of this book the character should have been screaming, but since it was a computerized voice, there was no feeling to it. As for the storyline, I didn’t care for it. I saw nothing exciting about this book.

Great plot

Not really a fan of Virtual Voice but wasn't as bad this time. Liked the story was actually too short
