Close to Christmas In the snow-blanketed town of Millersburg, a mysterious stranger, John King, enters the life of Timothy Yoder, a widowed Amish carpenter struggling to care for his family.
As Timothy welcomes the stranger into his home amidst a fierce winter storm, he cannot shake the feeling that this meeting is part of a divine plan.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Raber returns to her childhood community, haunted by a past love and painful memories, only to find her heart's old wounds reopened upon encountering Timothy, now a widower.
As Timothy and John work together to spread Christmas goodwill, odd coincidences and unexplained events begin to unfold, leaving Elizabeth, grappling with her unresolved feelings for Timothy, and finding herself at a crossroads, torn between the past and the present.
In a story where the ordinary intertwines with the mysterious, Elizabeth and Timothy are forced to confront their lives, past, present and future.
