For most, it is difficult to grasp how God’s attributes are more than an abstract concept. This is so because of the fragmentation that has slid into the church’s teaching and discipleship. Instead of focusing on the splendor of God’s greatness and goodness - and the pure meditation upon these truths alone - our teaching and discipleship has gravitated toward a man-centered teaching; one that emphasizes principled Christian living with little to no thought upon God. Consequently, the church knows little about who God is and our faith is at risk of becoming about humanity.
