I should love this new alien planet of Oprima. It’s beautiful, clean, and more sophisticated than anywhere on Earth could dream to be. Still, there’s something about it that feels unsafe and dangerous, and I miss my quiet life back home on Earth.

But then, I meet an alien with a past that he is trying to run from. At the same time, it’s a past that has made him famous and of which everyone, other than him, seems to be proud.

Now, I have to decide if it’s worth giving up the peace and tranquility I love to be with someone who has a past he can’t escape, but which makes him the center of attention everywhere he goes.

I know I can’t spend the rest of my life in the spotlight, but at the same time, would I be willing to give up the best man I have ever met, just because something in his past demands he be someone I know in his heart neither of us want him to be?
