This book describes the basics of Christianity, primarily for the new believer in Christ.
God tells us in Matthew 7:13-14 that the gate to heaven is narrow. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
I will tell you right up front that I am a Christian and follow Christian values the best I can. I tell people that I'm not a Republican or Democrat. I am a Christian.
I will attempt, in this book, to describe what I think a Christian exemplifies. I am not saying that I am a perfect Christian, but I have learned a number of things about the Christian life that I would like to share with you in order to help you walk the path of a Christian trying to follow God’s guidance.
I made the chapters short so they would be quick to listen to. The chapters do not create a story. Instead, every chapter conveys some basic Biblical information. Each chapter supports the manner in which we should live our lives in order to have the Bible be our life guide. The biblical content is meant to be introductory and not extremely detailed. For a more detailed discussion of each topic, the listener may want to consult a book on systematic theology.
