Jackson Jimenez is an up-and-coming actor from a prestigious Hollywood family and a royal pain in Karma Covington's rear end. Alas, her job as a manager's assistant demands that she play nice with the cocky socialite and keep him out of trouble. But Jackson loves trouble and, when Karma somehow gets dragged into the mix, she'll need someone to bail her out.

Enter Johnnie, Jackson's nicer — and sexier — older brother. He's been lusting after Karma forever and she's been able to resist him thus far by putting him in the friend zone in order to protect the integrity of her job. However, with the media determined to ruin both her image and her career, Johnnie is the one person willing to step in and protect her. Accepting his help is harder than she'd like to admit, though, and being so close to him makes it nearly impossible to follow her own rules.

With her life in shambles and her dreams on the line, Karma is willing to throw caution to the wind, but when her and Johnnie both end up in the hot seat, they'll need someone else to clean up the mess. And their new romance may not survive.

Trigger warnings include: discussions of death, divorce, drama, obsession by media (paparazzi). Technically, this is a workplace romance, friends to lovers, forbidden love trope.
