Acerca de esta escucha
In the rugged terrain of late 1800s Texas, where justice is as untamed as the land, one man stands against the chaos. Pharaoh Smith, a seasoned Texas Ranger with a no-nonsense approach, embarks on a relentless mission in this heart-pounding installment of the Pharaoh Smith, Texas Ranger series.
The very air around them carries the weight of desperation as 16-year-old Anna Hinch is kidnapped by the ruthless Comanche warrior, Blood Eye. With a gang comprising Mexicans, Blacks, and Whites, Blood Eye is a force to be reckoned with. Pharaoh Smith, joined by the resilient Comanche Jack Horton, the stalwart Black Seminole Adam Payne, and the eager Ranger trainee Jesse Stokes, must race against time to rescue Anna.
The clock is ticking; Blood Eye has given them a mere 12 days. The pursuit through the unforgiving landscape is fraught with danger, as friendships are forged, old rivalries resurface, and the blood-soaked trail leads to a reckoning that only the brave can face. Get ready for a thrilling ride of action, adventure, and bloodshed as Pharaoh Smith and his comrades ride hell-bent for leather, determined to rescue the captive Anna and confront the shadowy forces that threaten the whole great state of Texas. Will Pharaoh Smith and his team prevail against the merciless Blood Eye, or will the Palo Duro witness the crimson stain of tragedy? Time is running out; the wild west awaits.
Dive into the gripping world of Blood Runs Deep in the Palo Duro now! Your adventure begins by pressing play.

J.W. Masterson is a Western author's Western author. He knows the West inside an out, and it's very apparent he takes research seriously. Pharaoh Smith is as good a Western character as you could hope to find, and his adventures have a ring of truth to them that makes them seem more like personal accounts than actual fiction. Am already listening to the next one in this series...
David L. York brought these characters to life in a believable, relatable way that wasn't overdone or overacted. It felt like I was listening to a creative uncle relate a tale of the old West that had been passed down to him from his uncle or someone like that. He voiced really engaging personalities for these characters and I would highly recommend checking out anything he's narrated, including (to my understanding) the rest of this series, which is coming soon.
Five stars all around. Best four and a quarter hours I've spent in a while.
Masterson at his finest/York delivers the goods
