Jesus gave this command to the disciples on the night he was betrayed (Matt 26:14). This book provides practical suggestions for this work, but it also emphasizes our utter dependence on God and the power of the gospel to keep us from the "hour of temptation."

This book was originally published in 1658 as Of Temptation: The Nature and Power of it, The Danger of entering into it, and The Means of preventing that Danger with A Resolution of sundry Cases thereunto belonging. This edition attempts to make Owen's writing more accessible to modern readers. It includes the following updates:

Great story audio voice is okay, but I would prefer that they speak the entire full name of the book in the bible.

I did not like the abbreviated speaking of the books of the bible. I would have enjoyed it more. An example is Hebrews was pronounced Heb.

This has great truths and as Jesus said if you love Me you will follow my commands, not a fan of AI reading things but it worked.

The understanding of how temptation can easily become a man’s greatest enemy causing him to fall.

The truth in this book is worthy of consideration. The reader pronounces abbreviations as words. It makes it hard to distinguish the Scriptures from which the truth is derived.
