"Taming the Lioness" is a spicy story about a young Ghaziabad-based couple, Aditi and Anand, whose plans for a dinner and an evening outing are interrupted by the unexpected arrival of a distant family relative.
Aditi is beautiful, city-bred and a sophisticated wife. She is also spoilt and head-strong, and hasn't yet reconciled herself to her husband's modest income and his family's village roots. Balram chacha, a former wrestler is much older, hails from Anand's family village and quickly discovers he is an unwelcome house guest. Anand, a mild-mannered husband attempts to broker peace between his sharp-tempered wife and his bachelor uncle. Aditi thinks the village-bred and boorish Balram has a roving eye on her, and lays a trap to get him expelled by her unbelieving husband. Wily Balram, on the other hand thinks Aditi is a lioness who must be tamed. Sparks fly between the beautiful and materialistic Aditi and the rustic and older Balram, with each spinning a web to ensnare the other. Aditi is also under pressure from the members of Ghaziabad Ladies kitty club, comprising of rich and bored housewives who have invented a risque contest to amuse themselves for their monthly lunch get-togethers. Geeta, the pretty maid in the couple's household finds herself unexpectedly drawn into a spiraling game of lust and greed.
Ravi Shikha's romantic saga has familiar ingredients - a cast of sharply etched characters with shades of grey, unusual but believable situations , choices these characters make, a twist in the plot at the end of every chapter and a red hot climax that will leave you gasping for more!
