the clash between modernity and faith depicted in a vivid world on the brink of being swallowed up by the desires and hunger for power that modernity promises. While the Faith of those who are connected to the creator by faith and draw on that power struggle to maintain the balance of a world on fire. dune meets the Arabia in this epic tale absolutely a great listen and look forward to future books from the author.

Brilliant story

This was a wonderful first book in this new universe. So many things to love. All the characters and world building is phenomenal!

Book 1 review

I found the book very well written/voiced and enjoyable. When I stated listening, it sounded familiar like any Western pop culture works we grew up consuming; Kha is the Force, Conduits are Jedi. Sure, but as I progressed I was touched by the topics and themes the story tackled, ones that mattered to me as a Muslim. I’ve grown to care for the characters of the pious order of Nurani conduits and curious to learn more about their backgrounds and those of other characters. I found myself smiling many times as I heard the aphorisms at the start of each chapter, or the characters like Zorar and Durayd mentor and comfort Alifa with Islamic inspired sayings, and I chuckled at the Qahwa versus Tea rivalry. I think Tales of Khayal is a dream come true for countless Muslims, an expansive universe and spiritually grounded creative playground of our own. I pray that Allah guides you through this journey, and that this universe you’re creating provides meaning and beauty to its readers, comfort and anchorage for us Muslims and introduce non-Muslims to our beautiful religion and worldview.

Captivating story line!

Authentic charcters and immersive scenary. A movie or animated adoptation would be something inwould lvoe to see. I cannot wait to listen to the second book!!
