World creation

Loved the setting, story, and world creation. Rehan’s character development is great. I found the parallels of the storyline and the Muslim world drawing me in from the first chapter. Can’t wait for book 2.

Brilliant story

This was a wonderful first book in this new universe. So many things to love. All the characters and world building is phenomenal!

the clash between modernity and faith

the clash between modernity and faith depicted in a vivid world on the brink of being swallowed up by the desires and hunger for power that modernity promises. While the Faith of those who are connected to the creator by faith and draw on that power struggle to maintain the balance of a world on fire. dune meets the Arabia in this epic tale absolutely a great listen and look forward to future books from the author.

beautiful story, campy reader

LOVE the text, and the person reading the female parts sounds natural and excellent. the main performer however... when he does character voices it sounds like bad caricature. he's done a lot of other books that were fine when he sticks to his normal voice. I keep groaning out loud in public when he turns on the accents though. The production is also rough- the cuts between the female reader and the narrator during dialog are jarring. All that said, this story is a fantastic adventure. Definitely recommend.

Great world building!

I loved the world imagined here. Would love to see it more in all kinds of other mediums like a tv show or games.
