This book examines the covert mechanisms by which children's literature and storytelling traditions shape moral, emotional, and ideological development through narrative form. Rather than stories that discipline the inner life, these chapters advocate for narrative forms that respect ambiguity, preserve wonder, and reject harm as a prerequisite for transformation.
