Two weeks before Mardi Gras, a party boat full of revelers blows up in the middle of Lake Pontchartrain. It’s the worst disaster to hit New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. Genny is brought in by Pelican Oil and Gas-- the company that had hired the party boat-- to find out. As Genny delves deep into the hidden secrets at Pelican, she uncovers a world of dark money and espionage. There, she unwittingly finds herself caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a threat to The Big Easy that remains hidden until the last possible second.

Working alongside Genny are an FBI agent and ex-boyfriend, Alex Williams, and a colorful team of local experts that surround them. As the suspense builds, Genny knows, in the end, it will all rest on her cyber-sleuthing skills. If she fails, it will be the last Mardi Gras New Orleans ever sees.
