Riveting Sci-Fi Thriller

My attention was gripped from the opening paragraphs until the end of the story. I listened to this audiobook in one sitting. I felt for Harlem and all that he endured. I liked his unwitting partner and how that relationship evolved. I was kept on the-edge-of my seat by the almost unceasing action. I appreciated that I was never quite sure where the story would flow. I'm looking forward to the next book. I was entertained by James Blackmore's narration, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

What if Total Recall and The Fugitive were mixed together

A tale of political corruption, assassination, betrayal, and framing a policeman for murder. With secret government organizations, high technology, and good old fashioned detective work you can be sure you're in for a wild ride full of twists and turns. Taking place in the distant future on Mars, this story reminds me of Total Recall and The Fugitive mashed together. If you like Science Fiction then this story is for you.

Unique story style and excellent narration

A fast paced story with multiple POV. Each character tells a story in the first person. It was effective and I enjoyed it. Narration was concise and clear. A good start to a new series.

A fiery thrill ride

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated beautifully by James Blackmore, Syndicate is an immersive science fiction thriller that's both enthralling in its narrative, relevant story and the realistic, grounded characters affected by the complex web of actions each individual takes. Humanity has made its existence upon the dusty Mars planet but Tetrim, a member of the World Council believes life as being hold hostage by living under manufactured Domes. And his ambitious plan will bring about a glorious future... once Tetrim can capitalize from. But this ego-obsessed man never thought Halem, the men whom was suppose to taken the fall for hired murder of his wife; or Castor- the shadowy assassin would discover the dark forces behind Tetrim's harrowing ambitions... and work together to make the asshole pay.

Highly recommended.

I didn't dislike

I'm not a big syfi fan, so with that being said, I thought I could get into this book on the political mystery side of it. We'll that didn't happen. I found it hard to keep up with the character changes. whether it was the story, or the narration I can't quit put my finger on. I felt like I was having a book read to me, rather than having a story being told. I'm not saying I could have read it myself and the book be any better. If you are anything like me when you reed a book, each character has a different cadence. Sometimes even a different accent. This is just my honest opinion. With that being said, thank you so much for the opportunity to try something new.
