Sweet Narration

Another rewarding trip back to Kroydon Hills. It’s seriously like a pleasant family reunion with every new book and I absolutely love it. Yes, it is part of big beautiful world that I highly recommend reading but it also stands alone.

I usually talk about tropes to hype a book but they are sometimes spoilers. Go in blind and just trust that Bella Matthews delivers.

Jaime. Jaime. Jaime. I wasn’t sure I would love you but oh my goodness do I. My sweet ginger giant. This story was everything that I wanted and so much that I didn’t even know that I needed… banter, declarations, twists and HEA’s, oh my!

I loved this book so much I had to experience it again when it came out on audio and I think I like it even more now! The narration for this one was excellent! Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke were their usual amazing selves with this performance. Her ease of delivery and range of emotions and his growly dirty talk and soft spoken endearments made the story come alive. This combination of author and narrators is an easy 5 star recommendation!

Now I just have to wait a little over 2 weeks to get my eyes on Ryker!

Book friends, I thought I had mentally prepared myself for whatever surprises Bella Matthews might throw into this book, but I was not expecting to have my world rocked quite this much! Yes, we get the classic banter, the hilarious text threads that I live for, and that overflowing found family vibe that seems to encompass the whole damn town, but Ashton and Jamie bring even more oomph to that “rip your heart out romance” aspect that keeps us coming back for more. The raw emotion underlying their pasts, the animosity for for3play in their enemies to lovers dynamic, and the mind-blowing twists that left me shell-shocked and crying at times made this hands-down a top read of the year, and I’m confident it will stay high on the list as the months pass! I loved every second of it, whether I was laughing, crying, swooning, or blushing! Mini-Murphy all grown up is one helluva man, and I’m so glad he found Ashton! When I tell you I’m excited for whoever the next couple is, I mean I will probably obsess about it from now on!😂 Wow!

The audio version narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor was absolute perfection in my ears!! The banter, the emotion, and the passion just oozed from the stellar performance of this dynamic duo that I could listen to all day every day!! Jamie and Ashton stole my heart in a big way, and hearing them brought to life was such a fun experience!!
