Best book I’ve read in some time!

So enjoyed this book and am disappointed it had to end! Enjoyed the characters and the juxtaposition of the apple farming family with the political one! The history was interwoven and it was just a good read!

What a delightful book

I wasn’t sure at the beginning because I read the reviews. Sometimes you have to just listen to the book and make your own conclusions. I truly loved this book! The characters, the love Hush had for her family, heritage and son was so moving. I loved how many strong women were in this book. I can’t say enough about the performance - ten stars aren’t enough! ❤️❤️

Good read.

Excellent characters! Unique story. Unlikely turn of events. There are enough details to warrant repeat listening. Some of the voices are irritating.

What a surprise!

I needed a book to read, so
I was looking through available titles. Nothing looked familiar, so I just chose a
random book. As I listened to her talk, with her thick southern accent, I thought, Hmm. this isn't sounding very interesting. But it was late and I was wide awake, so I continued. I could not stop listening. So I never did go to sleep, just kept listening until the book ended. All night and part of the morning. I absolutely loved it ! It took me by surprise, and she did a most excellent job with her descriptions of the scenery. You could almost smell the apples. Thanks for a very enjoyable read!! BTW, I also have that southern accent.

Entertaining all the way through

Outstanding narration and it was nice to have a man do the male voices and a woman do the female voices. Entertaining story was enjoyable; a few parts lasted longer than they needed to, but that was a minor distraction. Overall great audio book.

Great story!

I loved this story! the only thing I think the steamy intimate parts could've been left out. I like a good, clean story. we focus too much on sex today, and our focus should be primarily on the heart. The author did a good job on this, I must say, but leave out the intimate details.

Thoroughly Entertaining.

Good story with equally good performance. It leaves you feeling hopeful. If you like a struggle with some mystery and a feel good ending, this is it.

Humor mixed with family and love.

Nothing I didn’t like. It started a little slow. Good humor mixed with loving, real relationships. Hope there are more
