The year 2145 was the last year civilized life existed on the planet Earth.

In the White House Situation Room, people scrambled to understand the dire situations that had occurred, and are presently occurring. It started with a nuclear explosion in Antarctica and a secret mutant base located on the same continent. It was discovered that the mutants had a plan for the world. They unleashed an AI virus to affect all machinery on the planet and their goal of global nuclear annihilation.

During the gathering of Intel, it was discovered that an alien spacecraft had crashed in the arctic during the Ice Age and was only discovered in the early 1970s. As a group of CIA agents investigated the crash site, it was unknown that an alien DNA organism was absorbed by one of the crew. This entity has countless past traits from other intergalactic species in its DNA. While it doesn’t immediately change the host, it is spread by any type of exchange of body fluids to anything else that has a genetic code. Thus over the years, it was transmitted from the host to anybody or anything that was alive. They believed this was how mutants came to be.

Thinking ahead, Secretary of State Burt Isabela recruited his younger brother, Dr. Michael Isabela, a robotic genius, to build an underground bunker to withstand anything thrown at it. Secretary Isabela and the mysterious South African spy, Agent Maggot escaped with President Dale Dixon, along with the help of the mysterious South African spy, Agent Maggot escaped to Lifeboat, the underground bunker.

Once there, the rest of the world, including the loved ones, burned from the bombardment of horrific weapons. The plan was simple. All they had to do was to wait fifteen years for the radioactive fallout to dissipate and they could return above ground. Simple became complicated when it was discovered that the mutants sent their versions of nuclear warheads and changed the nuclear fallout prediction into centuries. To make matters worse, a battle for control of Lifeboat ensued.
Through all this turmoil, there was a solution to survive all those centuries to see the outdoors again. But unfortunately, it came with a high price. Those that lived to see the day found out that life and landscapes had completely changed. Those that were enemies before the global holocaust were now co-existing.

But the goal to build the USA back was ever so strong to go to war over by the Survivors of the Mutant Dawn.
