Surfing in Heaven chronicles a significant portion of Mike’s life as a surfer in California, spanning from the 1960s to late 2024. The story unfolds through eight distinct "waves," each capturing a key theme that brought Mike closer to the dream of riding perfect waves in Heaven.

In the vibrant surf culture of Southern California during the 1960s, Mike's life was molded by the waves and his father, a pioneering Malibu surfer who was one of the lucky few to return home from WWII. Raised amidst the unique surfing community of the San Onofre surf scene, Mike's childhood was an endless pursuit of the perfect wave.

The surfing culture Mike grew up with soon clashed with his adult career when he relocated to Silicon Valley in 1990 to become a cog in the technological revolution that birthed the World Wide Web. The opportunities were endless, but so was the work! In "Surfing in Heaven," we discover how Mike struggled to balance a high-pressure career with family life and his newfound Christian faith.

Then, at 62 years old, his world turned upside down.

Navigating the cold waters of Northern California and the fast pace of the tech world, Mike’s perspective on life and surfing was forever transformed by the promise of Heaven. "Surfing in Heaven" is a story of hope, faith, and perseverance, offering inspiration to those who dream of surfing perfect waves, both in this life and beyond.
