Surat Ibrāhīm

Surat Ibrāhīm is a Meccan revelation of 52 verses revealed during a period of intense persecution and uncertainty. It speaks to the Prophet and the early believers when darkness seemed to overwhelm their mission. The surah begins with the luminous declaration that the Quran was revealed “to bring humanity out of darkness into light by the permission of their Lord.” (14:1)

Its message transcends its historical setting. The surah addresses not one community, but all humanity — warning oppressors, comforting the oppressed, and affirming that divine guidance remains constant even as nations rise and fall.
