After over a decade of reflection and introspection, Ben Bernanke, Henry Paulson, and Timothy Geithner collaborated to produce a comprehensive, non-technical, easily digestible review of the 2007-2009 US financial crisis. Published in 2019, Firefighting provides both a complete overview of their experiences for future crisis management, while also defending their actions and policies made at the time.
The three main questions this book will tackle are as follows:
1. What were the main contributors of the financial crisis, or so-called "fire"?
2. How did the crisis develop from a "small flame" to an ‘"uncontrollable blaze"?
3. How were we able to fight the fire, extinguish the flames, and what can we learn from it?
