Well worth the listen.

I will always think of this book during hurricane season
This is not a great read as literature but as a documentary it is spellbinding. I had heard occasional references to this hurricane in the past but never appreciated the horrific impact of this storm. Well worth the read and a cautionary tale about the power of the ocean.

Very Interesting
Being from Rhode Island I found this account of the 1938 hurricane fascinating and well written. The narrator was excellent as well.

Amazing story
I enjoyed the inclusion of people and families in this tragedy. The account of the storm is very precise and exciting.

Great story
Tragic story, but interesting as we vacation in Jamestown RI every year. We heard about the book at the beaver tail light house
