sweet story

I liked the book. its not really my genre. I'm more into paranormal but this was a good read. short and sweet.

Sweet, Yet Moments of Angst

One thing I really like in the book is that the relationship development seemed sweet. There are definitely moments of angst involved, which add nicely to the plot. The development of the relationship between Carissa and Kyle was well... cute.

I enjoy a good relationship where it isn’t super rushed into anything and it just flows into something more over time, which happens here.

The scarf and the back story behind it was a very unique concept, I’ve never read a story that had something like that.


However, there are few things that could have been improved in the story. One thing was that Evan was introduced, but not explained well enough that he was married to Susan in the early chapters. That could have been explained better in the first few chapters.

Another issue I had was some of the time skips or time and place skips could have been transitioned a little better, so that the reader could see where certain situations were going better.

A few sentences were repeated in different chapters, but nothing that sounded too out of place.

One last issue I had was that I didn’t understand why Carissa was friends with with Rita, because sometimes Rita didn’t sound like a good friend at times.


Overall, I would rate this 4 stars. It was an enjoyable read, it had moments of sweetness mixed with a good plot.
