Stranger at the Villa by Mary Kingswood
I enjoyed the plot of a young girl wishing to marry a man like the man who entertained her during and after a dinner party when she was 14 years old. She meets him again when she was 26 when he came to her town as a physician. Mystery and murder. Recommend.
