Manchester is a strange city.

Throughout its long history there have been countless tales of the weird and the wonderful within its boundaries.

Strange Manchester features a selection of ghost stories from across the whole of Greater Manchester. There phantom nightclub owners, cursed skulls, and a ghost that somehow found itself in Manchester despite having died in Chester. There's also a haunted police station and tales of ghost trains and buses too. There's even a mummy!

The book also covers a few of the regions mysterious UFO encounters including a look into the Manchester Airport Near Miss, which saw a passenger airliner come within meters of a UFO, as well as an alleged alien abduction that happened in 1979 in Stockport on the banks of the River Mersey.

In addition the the tales of the weird, the book is also packed full of historical factoids, meaning it also serves as something of a potted history of Greater Manchester.

These were delightfully creepy, and I hope I don’t have nightmares because I read this in the dark. Not too bright I know.

Mind expanding listen

I absolutely loved this book. I learned more than I ever expected. I walked away from the book with thousands of thoughts about our future as humans on planet Earth. I can hardly wait for the next book!

I enjoyed all the stories, I learned something about each individual. I rated story a four star because I would have liked stories to be a little longer.

Great Book

If you like books with ghosts, this is the book for you. It has so much mystery, it makes you terrified. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.

Strange Manchester in the Strange Britain series

This is a book in the Strange Britain series about events in Manchester. This book is filled with unusual occurrences, strange events and more. From big cat sightings to UFOs, to hauntings there's a bit of something for everyone. Entertaining and I will be checking out more books in the series.

Short stories just not enough of them left me wanting more, short but entertaining . Hope for more longer books in the future.
