disappointed

No reason to include LGBTQ very disappointed. I have two terminally ill sons who really enjoy The Star Wars High Republic books. And this ladies books really disappointed all of us.

What was the plot?

The story line was awful. Lack any depth of the star war trilogy they talked more about relationships

Identity politics at it’s worst

I got this based on a number of people on Reddit saying it was a must read in the high Republic Saga. I went through about half of it and just had to stop. The first thing I will say is I was not a fan of the narrator. After hearing what Marc Thompson does with all of the different voices and inflections and tones, this narrator was incredibly flat. Every character, male or female, sounded the same with maybe some slight shifts in tone. Speaking of male and female I don’t know if there was really any difference between that in this book. I guess these young adult books are just much more suited for those who think there are hundreds of genders and everything is fluid. I am just an old-fashioned old man I guess. I didn’t know the galaxy far far away was that.. Fluid.
