When two young British men fall from hotel balconies in Benidorm, their deaths are initially treated as accidents. After all, this kind of thing happens all the time in Spain when drunken revellers start larking around late at night. But when the families start to ask questions, English speaking Guardia Civil officer, Captain Michael Fernandez is the ideal person to placate them and prevent further damage to Benidorm’s tourist industry.

Reunited with his colleague Sergeant Mariela Poquet, their investigation soon reveals an intriguing twist – both the victims were in Benidorm on stag weekends and both were grooms-to-be. Despite this coincidence there is pressure on Michael to confirm the deaths as unfortunate accidents. But when a third husband-to-be falls to his death, it soon becomes apparent that a serial killer is on the loose – a killer who seeks out and kills soon to be husbands who show willing to cheat on their fiancés during their stag weekends.

Now the pressure is on to catch the killer before more young stags fall to their deaths. And to find the killer Michael and Mariela must immerse themselves in the seedy, sleazy world of stag and hen parties in Benidorm’s infamous English Square.
