Jeremiah Yoder works as a delivery man for his father’s carpentry business. This means, despite having been baptized into his Amish community, he makes frequent trips on a buggy into the Englischer city. He’s not bothered by it, though many in the community would be. He finds the city quite enjoyable.

That is until he is stuck there while his horse heals up from a leg injury from pulling too many deliveries. Will his horse be able to heal quickly enough?

Isabelle Jackson is one semester away from graduating college. She has plans to attend medical school to become a veterinary tech and to help all the animals brought into her father’s clinic. Will Isabelle be able to keep up her confidence in order to complete her goals?

When their worlds collide, Isabelle at first believes her father has tried to set them up. Jeremiah is simply trying to survive in a world he’s long forgotten how to survive in. It doesn’t help matters at all that this happens to be finals week. Did Isabelle’s father really try to set up Jeremiah and Isabelle?

What happens if Jeremiah goes home? Jeremiah believes he will be back to his normal schedule, and Isabelle will head off to school. Are Jeremiah and Isabelle destined to fall in love?
