Intrusive thoughts begin invading John's mind. And the swirling blue liquid injected into their veins each night does not seem like part of any legitimate study. As the true motive for the research facility is revealed, John's focus shifts from his crippling insomnia to his own horrific imprisonment. Can he and his fellow subjects escape the facility alive, or are they doomed like all the test subjects before them?

Delightfully Creepy

I have to admit I got a bit frustrated with the main character for the first couple hours of the book, while his bad situation and the lack of any options forced him into making an obviously really awful choice. But things got more interesting once he arrived at the secret lab in the mountains and the larger plot slowly unfolded. Enjoyed the consequences that some of the baddies received, although I think there are enough still running around that they can flesh out the next book. Looking forward to book 2 in this series.

Yawn

Disappointing. I never cared about the characters, and I only listened to the entire book in hopes that the plot would get more interesting. Never happened.
